Partridge Family child star. Reality TV train wreck. And now, morning-radio host on WYSP. But through it all, Danny Bonaduce has really just had one role to play.
THERE ARE A handful of recurring themes that crop up during the radio show Danny Bonaduce does every weekday morning on WYSP, and most of them have something to do with his depth of experience in having crappy and painful things happen to him. He has a considerable portfolio to draw upon, but still, he continually searches for new pain, to keep things fresh. It’s the mark of a true pro.
It looks like Danny Bonaduce will be facing TNA's Eric Young at the Lockdown pay-per-view next month. Here's the scoop from Danny's radio show website of an angle they filmed this morning..( !! Watch the Video at the end of this article !! )
The Spike TV cameras are in studio and TNA wrestler Jerry Borash walks in the studio to introduce Danny’s opponent at TNA Lockdown, April 19th at the Liacouras Center. Danny will wrestle in a six-sided ring surrounded by steel! The buildup is excruciating. ‘Showtime’ Eric Young is Danny’s opponent! Eric is 5’11”, weighs in at 225 lbs. and at 29 has 12 years of professional wrestling experience. TNA Lockdown is at the Liacouras Center on April 19th. His finishing move is the Youngblood Neckbreaker.
Danny Bonaduce is wedding his girlfriend of about two years, Amy Railsback, she confirms to Usmagazine.com. "He proposed a whole bunch of times over the last couple of years, but you know, it's never quite official until you have a ring on your finger," Railsback, 26 -- a former teacher who now works as Bonaduce's manager -- tells Us. "I'm a little giddy about it."
Bonaduce, 49, popped the question on March 12 with a sterling silver skull and crossbones ring that consists of diamonds and "rubies in the eyeball," she says.
"He wears that pirate jewelry. He normally wears, like, $12 rings, but this is the real thing," she continues. " He promises to get me a grown up engagement ring and wedding when we get married. This one is a Danny version for now."
TNA have announced one of the standout stars of Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling will make his pro-wrestling debut at their Lockdown PPV.
'Dangerous' Danny Bonaduce – the former wise-cracking young star of the hit US show The Partidge Family – will battle an as yet unnamed opponent in the six sides of steel, at the event on April 19th.
This match follows an open challenge made by Main Event Mafia leader Kurt Angle on Bonaduce's hit radio show.
Angle pleaded for a CCW wrestler to face him at Lockdown (hinting he'd love to battle Dennis Rodman), and if nobody answered his challenge, Bonaduce would have to enter the ring against a surprise star.
Expect the name of that person to be announced on TNA TV soon and to see clips of the on-air contract signing from Bonaduce's radio show.
Friday's plan is to let all the talk hosts sign off live one last time – Adam Carolla, Heidi, Frosty & Frank, Danny Bonaduce and Leykis. FM talk targeted men; AMP Radio music is to be "family friendly," said Dan Weiner, senior vice president of CBS Radio, Los Angeles. He believes the format will "connect with a wide audience – moms, their kids, single folks, men and women alike." The first 28 days or so will be continuous 10,000 hits. No personalities have been named yet.
Many wonder about the reason for the change. There are two answers. One is the L.A. radio market. CBS believes because its JACK and KROQ stations target males, there is room for a station to take on KIIS, KOST, and KBIG and target women and families.
