Over the weekend the promoter who planned to pit George Zimmerman against DMX in a “celebrity boxing match” pulled the plug.
This afternoon he told The Big Tigger Show why.
“This all happened so fast, it was really an emotional situation,” Celebrity Boxing’s Damon Feldman said of his decision. “It just got to the point where it looked like it was getting too personal…I’m more of an entertainment company.”
Feldman claimed to have worked with Jose Canseco, Danny Bonaduce and Rodney King in the past; and says he really hadn’t heard of Zimmerman – a onetime neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted of murdering unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, leading to national protests – until the verdict.
